The best way to reset your hardware is to actually contact the Manufacturer. Ask how to reset the TV to FACTORY Settings. Original settings are generally the basic and best method to view TV from the start.
Someone probably played around with the "Tint" settings in the TV menu. The easiest way to fix it is to go into the TV picture menu and reset everything to the default settings. There's probably one option for "Reset to Factory Default" or something along those lines. Since every TV is different with this, you should read your owner's manual to find how to enter the menu and find the reset button.
Look for color temperature settings under the menu and video settings. If there is an overall factory reset or restore to factory settings, try that as a last resort.
I would try to find out who manufactured the amp and try get info from them. If not try searching more on the internet. If it is in a Chrysler or jeep good chance it may be manufactured by infinity.
see if there is a "default" option, if not set everything back to the middle, if the colors are still off you sure its not the convergence?
most big screens allow you to change "color temperature" it's like a default adjustment for 3 different brightness levels.... ie...COOL, WARM picture will show obvious changes in brightness
Most likely your visitor turned one of the controls located on the back of the TV. There are only two controls they are the right side of the set in the back. The top one is the focus and the bottom one is the SCREEN control. You can carefully rotate clockwise the screen control until the brightness is back to normal. If you go to high with it you will see faint diagonal lines going accross the picture.
