I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, while installing a new stereo, the stereo just shut off, I hooked the original stereo back up and that didn't work either. I checked the fuse located on the driver side, and it was fine? please help!! The car is a GT so it has the infinity sound too.

Radio needs coding maybe

  • Brittanys5Ss May 08, 2011

If you put the code in and it still doesnt have sound, but the display is working, more than likely the AMP is not plugged in right. Its the cord that goes in the back of the player that has all those little pins that have to be EXACTLY right in the holes or the amp will not work and you will not have any sound. After taking it to Mitsubishi who wanted to charge me for 2 hours of diagnostics, I decided to stop by an aftermarket stereo center and the tech there told me that was more than likely the problem because its very rare for a factory amp to go bad. Sure enough, that fixed the problem!

Whats the firing order for the 2000 mitsubishi eclipse gt on the distributor cap?

This process did not work for me on mine. I have a 2000 eclipse gt and I done it exactly how you say above and it wasn't right. Still dont know what it is. Ive been told that the #1 cylinder is in the front left looking from the front of the car. 135 front 246 back. And #1 on cap is at the top in back. Havent tried it yet to see if it works but that's what i was told

Need code for 2000 mitsubishi eclipse radio

Mitsubishi codes are only available from the Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service.

They are not available for free as access is required to the original factory database ...which is not commercially available....Sorry

Mitsubishi Eclipse stock stereo states code needed

There should be a code inside of the instruction manual that contains the code. Enter this code on your stereo. If you can not find the code, your local mitsubishi dealer can look it up based on the radio's serial number.

Wont get any sound from speakers

You don't have a ground hooked up somewhere on the stereo, or you have your wiring incorrect.

2003 mitsubishi eclipse

They change the radio stations and tracks on the CD, and volume. If you don't have the default stereo installed, then the wires probably aren't hooked up properly to the new radio, and the buttons probably don't work.
