I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, while installing a new stereo, the stereo just shut off, I hooked the original stereo back up and that didn't work either. I checked the fuse located on the driver side, and it was fine? please help!! The car is a GT so it has the infinity sound too.

If you put the code in and it still doesnt have sound, but the display is working, more than likely the AMP is not plugged in right. Its the cord that goes in the back of the player that has all those little pins that have to be EXACTLY right in the holes or the amp will not work and you will not have any sound. After taking it to Mitsubishi who wanted to charge me for 2 hours of diagnostics, I decided to stop by an aftermarket stereo center and the tech there told me that was more than likely the problem because its very rare for a factory amp to go bad.
