What You have to do is hold the top button and the power button at same time for more than 25 second this will lead to recovery mode, on recovery mode you connect to your pc and then restore it , if is taking longer to get into recovery mode plug it in the power adapter and then put in recovery mode. once you have it restore it.

This happen to me, it got stuck on the apple screen and it was restarting on and off and i could connect it because it recognize it when it turn on and few a second later it turn off.

so just put it in recovery mode first and then restore it.

You need to hold the power button and the home switch first and repeat the former but this time when the apple loga appears release the power button and the itunes logo appears then restore your ipod touch

It happened to me too.but instead of leaving it to charge while frozen, i decided to leave it on for the night, till the battery went really low.then it went back to normal and everything started working again and thats when i began charging it again.i hope this makes sense.

Ipod touch 32g new - works really slowly when plugged into laptop but freezes when disconnected and shows picture of apple and does nothing

When the Apple Logo is stuck
If this happens, put the iPod into Disk Mode through the diagnostic menu. Then connect the iPod to your computer and update or restore the iPod. Sometimes you can get away with just updating the iPod, so try that first, but usually you have to restore the iPod . As always make backups of your music files, because the restore procedure will eliminate them.
Good Luck,I hope this helps Please rate me, Thanks

Ipod touch freezes on start up

Try doing a restore if you can connect it to iTunes on your computer. Connect your iPod with the cable that came with it to the USB port on your computer. In iTunes, click on (Restore) If that doesn't work and it's under warranty (12 months), take it to your nearest Authorised Apple Service Centre and they will get it exchanged in a couple of days. No warranty? Google "iPod repairs" in your country and you should be able to find someone who can fix it. The usually have a self diagnosis on line so will get an idea of the cost before you begin

Ipod touch freezes at the apple logo

mine did the same thing. plug it into the computer. when it's open in iTunes, set the iPod to manual. sometimes when it's automatic, it'll clear itself out/freeze up until you plug it in again. this worked for me. it could be a glich, or their way of getting us to go onto iTunes more often.
