Hi there i have a 1988 dtr125 and my engine is dead. will the latest model dtr 125 electric start only engine fit my frame and if so how esay is it to fit on electric switch and battery

well at first in wont fit because the cooling (LC) system will not fit the 02, but with a little welding and some alum works, you will be able to fit it.
the only difference will be the placing of the mount, weld holes and drill holes on the frame, but before you do so, remove all electric components from the frame.
The bike is 19 years old. Caseings will be VERY hard to find. Suggestion; take the case to a welding shop and ask them to weld the crack. Teey will have a MIG or TIG welder which will do the job and the cost should only be about 20 bucks.
