Are all the belts still on?
There is a very good possibility that the Alternator got soaked and killed the engine. The Battery starts the engine; the Alternator runs the engine. If the Alternator dies: the Battery provides power. The soaking most likely shorted out any hope for that.
You need to allow the Alternator to completely dry out. You can use a hair dryer to assist it drying. There is also available compressed air spray cans you can purchase to forcibly blow out any water inside the motor; rotating the pulley/motor (by hand) with the belt off. And yes I'm embarassed to say: 1-person use a lawn blower to force out water in his alternator! It worked!
The Wires and Distributor are most likely wet. Again use a hair dryer to assist in drying off. Is there also water in the Spark Plug - Engine Wells? Use paper towels towels or rags to soak up any water away from the plugs. Or use again compressed air spray cans.
In the meanwhile, disconnect the battery while these are drying out.

I have a 2001 ford winstar mini van, I drove it about 700 miles on a vacation, I parked the car at my sister's house it sat for about 4 hours, then started to drive for another 2 hours. I noticed some...

There are 2 cooling hoses that go to the radiator from the transmission. Hopefully it's one of these. The hoses are at the front of the vehicle or the right side standing in front of the vehicle. the stretch across the front to the left side. They are mostly metal ,but there is some rubber hose to it. The hoses connect to the radiator on the left side at the top and bottom of the radiator. If the hose blew out you can fix this with some new transmission hose. You will need a tube cutter, two hose clamps,a screwdriver, a razor blade/knife and 2 feet of hose just to be safe. Cut the metal tubing on each side of the rubber hose, cut enough new hose to go in it's place and use the hose clamps to secure it. If for some reason the metal tubing is bad, rust, you can do the same thing.

1998 ford windstar 3.8 rusted through oil pan leaking Estimated cost to fix... Can something be done other than replacing oil pan ?

I had a similar problem with my Pontiac Grand Prix. I solved it by buying some windshield sealer (available at an auto parts store), finding a short sheet-metal screw, LIBERALLY applying the glue to the screw, and screwing it into the leaky hole. I drove the car for years like this - NEVER had another oil leak, and sold the car.

Serpentine Belt and pulley were replaced. Drove

High moisture with cheap belts would be a start. 2nd possibility is you have a bearing in an accesory drying out. Check water pump pully first with the screwdriver methode. Do not place on a moving part!!!
