My InFocus IN76 just started displaying yellow an white dots all over the picture. My bulb has 2900 hours on it. Is it just time for a bulb replacement or do I have bigger issues? I checked all the connections, and everyting there is fine. The yellow and white dots are displayed regardless of the input source (i.e. satellite, blu-ray or game system).
Are the dots pixelated or blurred? if they are pixelated, you have a dmd chip issue and will have to replace the whole optical engine. if they are blurred, it is an optics problem, most likely the colorwheel. that can be replaced individually. you can get parts from an infocus service center or send it in to one for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com
