Eclipse headunit When I am playing CD in unit the front speakers turn off and then turn back on. The front speakers are connected to jl audio amp, but rear speakers are factory and are still powered by headunit. This problem does not happen when hearing FM Radio stations, only when cd is playing.

There nay be a wiring issue with your amp. When you are running a CD more power and sound quality is envolved so the amp works harder. Check the amp make sure everything is where it should be.

JL Amp isn't powering subs and speakers

silly as it sounds, you may want to check your EQ settings on your headunit. Things like sub volume, SLA, loudness and balance. When they replaced your battery, those old settings were lost.

Alpine

If this occurs with the head unit plugged directly into the amp (no signal processors inline, you probably have open shields on the head unit.

To check the shield ground, disconnect all RCA cables from the head unit and measure the resistance between the RCA shield on the head unit and the case of the head unit. It should read ~0 ohms.
