I had the same problem with my Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD. Just got my 16GB sandisk micro cuzer in the mail from Radio Shack. Here is what I did to solve it:

  1. Copied all the files that came with the Sandisk device to another location (in case I need them again)
  2. Copied all the music I had put on the Sandisk since I got it to another location
  3. Using a Windows PC, I right clicked on the drive in Windows Explorer and selected "format"
  4. I re-formatted the cruzer mini to FAT 32, default size (yes, I know it was FAT 32 already)
  5. Copied the music back to the cruzer mini
  6. Plugged it into my radio and it works GREAT! instant access to any track
Before you do this: Reformatting the drive also gets rid of the software that makes the cruzer mini copy files super fast. It will take a lot longer to copy music to the drive. For me this is no big deal as the only reason I bought the drive was to put a bunch of music on it and then leave it in my truck

Some indash players wont play 16gb sticks. Try an 8gb one.

Check your power to make sure you are getting power to the radio. Also, check to make sure you are getting a good ground. You may want to check all of the fuses in your vehicle.

It could be your wiring as well. Sometimes, when speaker wire gets cut and grounded, like your factory wiring to your door speakers or you tap into facrotry speaker wires to add more, the load on your deck increases. When the volume gets to a certain level, it will cut off because of the heat produced to maintain the load.

In the far right corner is the "A" (Audio) button.

Turn the stereo off and hold the "A" button until the clock comes on.
The hour will be blinking.
Use the up and down "Select" keys to set that.
Then use the right "Select" key to switch to the minutes. Use the up and down keys to set the minutes.
Push the "A" button when you're done.

I would hazard to guess that you are running a speaker "ohm load" that is less than 4 ohms per channel. Or 8 ohms if you are running in bridged mode. You should NEVER blow a fuse. Re-check all your connections. Your "cutting out when the headlights are on" problem is due to low battery voltage to the amp. Use bigger wire on both your +12 lead and your ground lead. Make sure your battery to chassis ground lead is even bigger than your amps power lead. Make sure your amps ground lead is big, beefy, and short. And get a boost capacitor. When you have a huge amp in the trunk, you must treat it as if you are trying to run your engine starter from the trunk when it comes to the size of your hot wire and ground wire. Good luck.
