50PF9631D won't turn on... red light flashing/blinking 6 times

Your TV main board is damaged and you need a new one. You can order one on ebay and fix it yourself. Make sure you have the TV model/serial number on the back label of the TV to have the right part when ordering.

I HAVE A 50' PHILIPS MODEL 50PFP5332D/37 FLAT SCREEN TV. I BLEW A BREAKER ON THE TV PLUG IN WITH A PORTABLE HEATER. TURNED BREAKER ON TV CAME ON WORKED FINE. TURNED OFF. 1HR. LATER A RED BLINKING LIGHT WAS...

HI:
This is a plasma unit and philips plasma's are nortorious for bad power supplys, your problem may very well be the power suppy in the television, it is possible you blew a low B+ fuse on the power supply. There is also a issue with the Y-sustain board failing in this model, If you open the back and looking at the unit from the rear the y board is on the left side of the unit and the PS is in the center. disconnect the Y-sustain power plug from the power supply and turn on the unit if the unit stays on with no red light then the y board is bad. it does the same then replace the Power Supply.

My 50 in philips ambilight plasma will not turn on and blinks a red light 7 times and repeats

The failure with your plasma is with defective capacitors in the power supply.

Philips tv blinking red light

Hello,

I've seen this problem before with Philips. 6X3X blink was the X-sus or Y-sus boards. In other words, the TV cannot make the picture on the screen properly, so it won't even try and will shut down.

I've also had difficulty getting these parts from Philips (even while being an authorized service center). If you have an authorized service center near you, you might want to give them a try because I don't believe they were too expensive, just hard to get.

I hope this helps you...

Six blinking red lights when trying to turn on.

The power supply board went dead. Have it repair or replaced. No other way around this. Thanks, mike H.
