Network driver AM37

Hello here is the fic download page:

http://www.fic.com.tw/download/motherboards.aspx

The model of your mainboard is not to be found here.

But the mainboard was fitted in this pc here:

http://support.gateway.com/us/en/emac/product/default.aspx?modelId=1427

Try to download the LAN driver, but please unzip the file before you install.

If the driver is not working, visit the PC homepage (not the mainboard) for downloading the driver.

Best of luck

Start button would not respond plug disconected unsure were it goes e machine c 1940

The front of your computer is the Front Panel.

The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the main wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

You want a Front Panel header pinout.

(See? Know you can go around, and brag to your friends!
"So,......mrcat_grave,.........do you know what a Front panel header is? What about a Front Panel header pinout? How about you Sally?"
Lol! )

Hmmm, I do not find an eMachines C1940 desktop computer.
Could this be an eMachines C1904, or S1940 desktop computer?

If so they both use an FIC AM37 motherboard,

(First International Computer, { Inc } AM37 is the model number of the motherboard)

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=bph07941&lc=en

(Scroll down for Motherboard Layout illustration, and Motherboard Photo )

Provided I am on the right track;

Motherboard installed in computer case:
Processor to the Top, Ram Memory slots to the Right, white long PCI slots to the Bottom;

The Front Panel header is at the Bottom/Right corner.
It is rectangular in shape, and situated Vertically.

Two columns of contact pins.
There are 4 pins on the Left side, 5 pins on the Right side.
(Do NOT get it mixed up with the IR header above it. 6 pins)

The pins are numbered EVEN on the Left side.
The pins are numbered ODD on the Right side.

Starting on the BOTTOM of the Left side, going towards the Top;
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8. There is NO pin 10.

Starting on the Bottom of the Right side, going towards the Top;
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED. (Light)
[LED = Light Emitting Diode ]

Pin 1 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the HDD LED is dim when the harddrive is active, switch the wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used.

C) Pin 9 is N/C.
Not Connected. Probably a 5 Volt power source, used by the factory to test with.

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED. (Light)
Pin 2 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the PWR LED is dim when the computer is on, switch the wires around.

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

Zip file PDF motherboard manual, for the FIC AM37 motherboard.
There is a version 1, and a version 2.
FIC AM37 v1, and FIC AM37 v2.

Doesn't matter which one you choose, as far as the Front Panel header pinout info is concerned.
You may however need info that is in the version 1, or is in the version 2.
You can download both.

Zip file. A compressed file used to send large amounts of information, more easily.
It needs to be decompressed, or 'unzipped'.

You have Winzip on your computer. It is an 'unzip' program.
If it is out of trial time, or not usable, suggest you download, and install the free 7-Zip.

Let's use the AM37 v1 manual as an example;

After you click on AM37 v1, a small window will come up on the right-
Opening am37_v1_manual.zip

Make SURE there is a Green dot, in the small circle to the left of Save File.
If not; click in the empty circle to the left of Save File.
Now go below in the small window, and click on OK.

A small window will come up on the left.
Allow the file to fully download in this small Download Window.
Then DOUBLE-click right on the file name.

In the next window go to the far left, and click on - Extract all files
At the bottom of the next 3 small windows, click on -
Next, Next, and Finish.

In the last window DOUBLE-click right on the file name.
(It is next to the red Adobe PDF icon)

Wiring diagram emachine w2047 motherboard

The eMachines W2047 desktop computer uses an FIC AM37 mobo.
(MOtherBOard)

FIC is First International Computer, Inc.

This link takes you to a page to download the Motherboard Manual, for the FIC AM37 mobo,

http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/OEM/eMachines/manuals/index.html

There is a version 1, and version 2 of the AM37 motherboards.
[ FIC AM37v1, and FIC AM37v2 ]

Click on the appropriate file name, or click, and download both of them. (One at a time)

These are PDF files.
The computer you are on now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.
(All you have to do is left-click on the file name)

I would also suggest upgrading to Adobe Reader 9.3.4. ,if you don't have it already.

Give the file time to download. It may take up to 30 seconds before you see the first page.
It may also take additional time for the file to fully download.

Would appreciate it if you would rate my solution if it has helped you.

Emachines W2060

Everyone would,lol. Emachine doesn't like to give out info or may be that's why they're so cheap. Basically you throw them away when the board goes out.

NO VIDEO

Are you using the onboard video or a display card adaptor?

1. If you are using the onboard video then try installing a known working PCI or AGP display card to test if the problem is onboard video or the actual motherboard.

2. If you are using a display card then try another known working display card (PCI or AGP) to test whether it's your displaycard that is faulty.

3. If it still doen't work then try removing your memory modules on the motherboard and replace them with known working memory.

4. If it still doesn't work then try removing your CPU and reinserting it again (be carefull as you do not want to damage your CPU!).

5. If it is still not working then you may need to replace your motherboard or take your PC into a repair facility.

Thanks
