Make sure you clean the sprayers out real good,if theres debris on the end nozzles they dont spin around too good, also pull out the little service plug that protects debris from getting in the impeller.
i found a little chunk of wood in there! im still not sure how wood ended up in the dishwasher!

Not Rinsing

By cleaning it out, you cleaned the bottom where the water is drawn in and food particles collect, right? Are the sprayer arms working good? The holes on them are not clogged with anything? How does the dishwasher drain? I mean do you have an air gap or does it drain directly into the disposal or sink pipe. Sometimes without an air gap, the disposal will send junk into the drain line if the check valve is not working properly, thus giving you excess food in the dishwasher.

Water is not flowing into the dishwasher. Initial problem was that it was not draining. It now drains but now it will not pump any water into the dish washer.

I have this same problem! Just started happening. My Bosch drains fine but only a very little water is entering the unit and it seems to be coming thru the arms on the bottom not the top. Help! I checked the arms and they are clear, drain is clean.

We have a bosch model #SHU9902UC. the dishes frequently have a residue after the complete cycle is done. this is alleviated somewhat if the "power" wash cycleis used, but there is still a...

Bruce, we have the same unit and had the same problem. Try using a LOT less detergent. The repair tech claims that the manual says to only fill about 25% full. Also, we tried different detergents and found that the Finish (formerly Electrosol) works the best. Another not so great feature of this dishwasher is that it does not have a disposal unit so periodically clean out the drain pump area to remove any large chunks that the kids didn't feel like rinsing off.

Not cleaning dishes.

check if some dirt got in the arms of the washer as sometime this will slow the flow of water and not allow the pressure to clean the dishes well

Dishwasher smells like fish

There are several possible causes.

First, make sure the machine is properly installed with the drain hose up in a loop or an air gap before going down to the drain. This is to ensure no dirty water or smells from the sour or garbage disposer backs up into the machine.

Sometimes nasty stuff gets trapped inside internal parts of the machine and inside the sprayer arms. It is normally easy to remove the sprayer arms for cleaning, on reasonably modern Bosch machines they can also be opened up for easy access.

There are also special dishwasher cleaning agents that you can use to perform periodic cleaning cycles. Some believe it is important to use rinse agents to minimize the problem, maybe it is worth trying if you don't use it.

If there is warranty left on the machine I would advise you to complain, there is a slight possibility there is something wrong in the machine for instance bad choice of insulation lining that have been known to emit foul smells.

Good luck with tracking down the cause of this!

Bosch shv56c03uc/114 Water is not draining

Check drain hose first.

If you do not find any blockage, then you will need to access the pump, remove pump hose and look for blockage in there.

If there is no blockage at all, then either the water level switch, a faulty pump, a wiring problem, or a faulty timer board can be cause the machine not draining.

Dishwasher that leaves dishes dirty

Your drain could be blocked, remove the drain from the trap below the sink and try running the unit on drain, into a bucket. Also check the connection at the trap to ensure it is free from blockage
