One of my burners is only giving a tiny amount of gas
One of the burners is only letting a trickle of gas through, the other 3 all work as normal together. is there anything i can clean or do you think its a faulty valve. the dial doesnt feel any different.
Re: one of my burners is only giving a tiny amount of gas
Get a needle, and put it through every one of the small holes where the gas comes out. If that doesnt work you should be able to just lift the burner off gas line and check to see if it is clogged with anyting. I once found a dead bettle blocking the gas line....

Generally the issue with this is not that you don't have the correct pressure but the Burner top hat that displaces the gas is dirty. Remove the metal rack to expose the burner itself. Make sure it's not been used recently to prevent a burn. Carefully lift the little burner cap off. This is the piece with all the holes in it the flames come from. They generally just sit on top. You will need a flashlight, know look in the little slits below the cap for cleaning material buildup. A tooth pick or a stiff bristle tooth brush can be used to clean these little slits. The cleaning products used to clean stove tops tends to leave little trace amounts of surfactants that over time block these little slits and prevent the escaping gas to flow towards the ignitor preventing the burner from lighting. Once you have this clean replace the top. Put the pan grate back on and try to relight the stove. I am sure this should fix you issue. If it doesn't please let me know and I can give you some other tips to try. DR Wilkins
Make sure the little tiny flash holes are open. They allow a little bit of gas to seep out so the igniter can light the burner. If you can light the burners with a match, check those holes. If yours are the "sealed" type burners, make sure they are not a half a turn out (180° around)
Hi, It sounds like the tubing to the burner has got a leak in it. Please get me a model # so I cna look this up and give you better instruction on how to get to the tubing.
It is sparking because the module does not sense the heat which would normally cause the sparking to stop.
It can be caused by a poor ground, make sure the ignitor at that burner is clean and free from any obstructions. If it is then it could either be a defective ignitor or spark module.
On all gas stoves/cooktops, when you switch on one burner to light, all other burner igniters will click at the same time. This is normal. Enjoy your new apartment!

Hiya .. this could be due to a number of problems...... has the burner ever worked correctly?
Is the behaviour with only one ring?
1. If not... then it could be that the pipework to the hob itself has not been recuced sufficiently enough in pipe diameter to the regulator far enough back ...
2.The regulator is faulty... in which case it can be replaced... however consider the cost of a new regulator and labour to fix it .. against the cost of a whole new hob... which should include a regulator. Is the hob still under warranty... if so use that .. but you will normally have to provide some proof it has been fitted by someone suitably qualified.
3.the regulator may never have been fitted, which is dangerous and bad practice.
Either of these scenarios... please ensure that you use a suitably qualified gas engineeer... I dont wish to be alarmist... but gas leaks and faulty gas appliances do cause unnecessary deaths...and is a silent killer.
