1.is the tv plugged in & getting electric? 2. Does the tv show a raster,a blue screen. 3.is the tv getting an input signal , assuming that the answer to 1 &2 was yes. 4. Is your cable box plugged in. 5. are all the connections into your cable box connected or did one fall of 6. did you pay your cable bill on time. If your cable box is bad , the cable company should fix or replace it for free. If you or someone else unhooked the connections, say by tripping over them, the cable company will restore the connections and chatge you a service call fee. 7. do you have dish or direct tv? either of those services will loose picture if it is raining out and picture wont come back until after the storm passes. 8. if you have dish or direct tv, and a branch,a person or an animal, a bird, has fallen on the dish/direct tv antenna, it may have misalligned the dish and it will no longer recieve the satalite signal. THere is a reallignment service available;dish network charges $95.00 unelse you have insurance, like i do,so it only cost me $15.00 I never had direct tv soi could not say, but dish net claims direct tv is more expensive
You can allign the antenna yourself ,if it is not on a steep roof. You need one person moving the antenna & another person at the tv telling him if the picture is getting better or worse. The dish box comes with a built in signal strength gague for that purpose.
enjoy considering these options and they next time you ask please enclose all the information that you can so that we have something to go on and work with.
Tries tv and the dish box unplug, replug it back an hour later for the tv to do a restting itself back to the factory setting and dish box to reboot and upgraded it software. This no signal problems should be fixed, not request another dish box for the replacement, because tv have no signal input bouncing around in the tv screen it is 90%-95% are broadcasting receiver boxes for tv incomming signal cable for tv signal problems.
The direct tv box is the problems and the causes.Unplug, replug the direct tv box about an hour later for the box to reboot and upgraded it software. The direct tv signal should be back.If still not getting a signal for channels, the direct tv box have problems.Call the direct tv customer service, exchange for a new direct tv box.Should solved ur problems.
Flashing error codes could be the Direct tv box itself.Because tvs have problems within itself don't flashes error codes on the tv screen, the problems, just show up.Tries tv and Direct tv satellite box unplug, replug it back like about an hour later.By letting the tv resetting itself back to the factory setting and the Direct tv box updates it softwares data's.The problems should be solved,if have the same problems, first call Direct tv for a replacement box,see how it work out.Than turn ur attention to the tv.
I would suggest using dedicated input button on remote, not the menu on the tv. If you can skip setup screen that would be best. I have just looked at the manual for that tv, it tells you all you need to know, depending upon which input you used for your box. As I stated use the direct input button on the remote if you have it.
hi, if u using a cable connection direct to tv. then goto the setup menu and select auto tune function. wait till all the channel memories. for any further assistants contact me through fixya.
It ur Direct tv converter box, unplug and replug or turn power switch off/on again so the box can reboot get a new and updated informations. It well back in the air if not must call the direct tv customer service for the disk check,it not ur tv.
It sounds as if there might be a problem with your TV set .
I would suggest that if you have another source that you can connect the audio signal from the Direct TV Box to such as a receiver or amplifier. Connect the RCA cable to one of these
units and see if the problem persist, if not then you know it's
a problem in the audio ckt. in your TV set.
I am not familar with that particular set, but this is what I would check (assuming you don't have a surround sound system hooked up to it as it would sound like a tuner problem otherwise). If you have external Audio/Video jacks with cables hooked up to the Direct TV box, move the video cable and see if you lose video when it is jiggled. If so, you either have a bad cable or connection/connector. When you say you have to turn the TV off for about 30 minutes, do you leave the directTV box on? If so, then the problem seems to be with the TV. Otherwise, maybe the direct TV box is at fault -- leave the TV on and turn off the cable box for a half hour and try it again. You have a few possibilities here, good luck.
