Pdf file cannot open

What version of Reader are you using? Some newer .pdf files ure using formatting codes that older versions of Reader cannot decipher and thus fail to open. Older files will still read regardless of the version of reader. Ensure you have the most recent version of Reader and try again.

How do i download Adobe Acrobat x Standard for Free?

Acrobat reader is free. Acrobat pro is not free.
There are other free programs to create PDF's. Really, Adobe is offering the readers for all systems for free. Be aware sometimes PDF files are password protected. You even can't read them with acrobat reader, if you don't have the password. Just visit the Adobe website to download a free version for your system.
Now you can get the 11 version here:

Hi My Name is Nicole Watts in for some reason my lexmark printer will not print letters from my computer. The only thing keeps poping up is Adobe Acrobat account,is there any way i can print without Adobe...

It sounds like you are trying to print a PDF file and your computer needs Adobe Acrobat to open the file before it can print. You may want to try to put the PDF file onto a thumb drive and plug that drive directly into the printers USB port. Most Lexmark printers,(mine included) can directly access PDF files and let you print directly. If it doesn't work, then just download Adobe Acrobat. Its safe and it works.

I have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, I can not create a PDF from a program file. I keep getting this message: C:/Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 7.0/Distillr/AcroTray.exe Windows can not access the...

It depends what program made the file. Let's say you made a file in Microsoft Word. You should be able to go to file:print, then when the printer comes up, select PDF instead of the printer. I know this bypasses your Adobe, but it is a way to make a PDF. But, it sounds like the path to your Adobe program might not be right. On your start menu, right click on Adobe and select "Open file location". This should take you to the Adobe exe file that starts your program. If not, you need to find your Adobe folder, and make a new shortcut to Adobe by dragging (right click and hold) to your desktop.

I cannot open files on my computer that require them to be open by adobe which I have on both my laptops. The files save then you have to open them with a program but it trys to open with word which does...

I assume that you mean Adobe Acrobat reader. First of all make sure that you already have installed this program. Go at start - programs - and browse all programs to locate that Adobe Acrobat Reader existing. A good idea is to open it in order to check that it's fully working. In case of a problem download it from this official link. Since you are sure for the Acrobat Reader's existence, right click at any pdf file (these type of files open with Acrobat Reader) - choose open with - go at the bottom of the new window "choose program" - at the new window select Adobe Acrobat Reader (in case it is not available click on browse and navigate at the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader x.x\Reader, select the file AcroRd32, hit open - check the box for "open this kind of files always with the same program" - hit OK and you are ready. From now on every time you will double click at a pdf file the Acrobat Reader will open this file.
