Deleting Files,Pictures,etc from MP3 Player

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.

I have gpx ml638b and the drivers wont dwld on my system and i can only hear about 20 sec. of the music it dwld and it wont let me put a 700 mb movie on it even when the file says its empty this would only...

Here is a link to the official GPX ML638b page http://www.gpx.com/store/p/261-ML638B.aspx I think the link to Software Restore Utility has the drivers you need. (I'm not 100% sure)
The only difference between the ML648B and Your model is that yours holds 1GB and the other holds 2. Also the Letter at the end of the models name specifies which color it is, B for Black and S for Silver.
Movies must be an AMV file format see here for a full tutorial on that http://www.fixya.com/support/r2808906-videos_pictures_gpx The link has a video tutorial on what you must do step by step to begin enjoying videos.

As far as only playing the first couple of seconds of music, your player may be in Intro Mode. To remedy this, Play a song and hit the button on the side of the player, select Play Mode and then select Normal.

I hope this answers all of your questions and gives you a better understanding of this device.

Movies and Pictures to my GPX mp3 ML638B

The GPX ML638B takes only AMV files for video. you have to use the utilities tool that comes with it to convert video files. or find one online if you prefer. also you can download pre exsisting AMV format movies to load into it.
just be sure its in a USB mode and load directly onto the 1st area when you open its designated drive location. as for Mp3's no conversion is needed. simply load em onto the device. remember. video and pictures requre it to be set in USB mode (mode button on its side) and music out of USB mode.
while plugged into the PC on its screen will show USb on lower left of screen when its in usb mode. and wont show if its out of it.

When i download my songs on my GPX ML638B MP3 PLAYER SOME SONGS PLAY AND SOME DONT WHY

Some digital music files are in a DRM-protected WMA format that does not allow playback on an mp3 player, even though they will play fine on your computer. The only reliable way around this problem is to only download files that are in mp3 format.

Charging my gpx ML638B

It will if it is a mini-USB plug. The mp3 has the mini-USB cord bundled, and can be used with anything with a mini-USB port. My cell has the same port, so I can charge it on the PC like the mp3, and can use the wall socket charger for the phone on the mp3.

Can not download music to player.

Windows Media Player says that my ML638B is full but it’s actually empty. How do I fix this problem?

If this problem occurs then your ML638B needs to be formatted.

1. Connect your ML638B to your computer with Windows XP or later.
2. By default your computer will recognize ML638B as GPX MTP Device. Press the POWER button from top of your ML638B, to change it to USB mode connection. You will also see USB on the screen of ML638B.
3. ML638B will now mount 2 drives, one as Tools (as CD-Drive) and second as Removable Disk (Drive) – under My Computer on your Windows Desktop.
4. Right click your mouse and then select the Format option. When the Format Removable Disk window appears select the Start button to start formatting your MP3 player.

The ml638b gpx digital audio player

you have to have on your computer windows media player, then download your music into a foulder named music in my documents, that way when you open the media player the music should show in that program, then select sync on the bar and drop the music into the right side colum where said sync list then select sync at the bottom of that list of songs, of course you have to plug your device into the computer for this. good luck, it work if you do the correct thing.
