It could be a faulty screen or inverter causing your problem.
To try and find out which one it is, hook your laptop up to an outside monitor and start the computer, if the picture comes on then the problem is the screen, if if does not come on then it is the inverter in need of replacement.

Go to toshiba website. Click on support. Click on download. Choose a category, since this is a laptop. Select laptop and for the family. Select satellite. For the model, type on the model finding filter the 2455-S305 then click go. slect your all operating system and wi-fi. you will see there the available driver for your pc.
Remove battery and disconnect power cord.
Press power button for about 5-10 seconds (without battery and power cord)
Connect power cord only then turn it on.
Hello there: when you replaced the hard dive did you go into the bios and make sure that the harddrive was recognized and set up as the primary drive. also you may be able to get around this by pressing the reset buttona on the back of the unit and hold in and turn on the power at the same time than release after 10 seconds and if this still doesent work try to boot by pressing the f12 key as it starts up ok? best regards michael
If you are familiar with your laptop, i.e. the locations of hard drive, try to take it out of the its bay and put it back again. Also, if you can have someone check your battery packs, because from my experience with this laptop, when the battery packs is not charging well, i got some booting up problems.
It would have to be a new motherboard as the sound will be on board.
Obviously you have checked the drivers, but have you run a diagnostic check, you can do this by Start>run> then type 'dxdiag', then press enter.
See if windows can locate the problem for you.
