When I try to update driver software for my Olympus FE-210 an error message occurs. It reads as follows:
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
An error occurred during the installation of the device.
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor.
If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit it's website and check the support section for driver software.
I already checked the website for driver software and it says that nothing is available at this time. I'm trying to transfer the images from my camera to my pc.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem? Where can I get the necessary driver software for this to work?
Thank you to anyone that can offer any help!
I have a almost same problem my olympus fe 210 doesn't save pictures and doesn't show my old pictures but on my computer doesn't read any files but when i want to see how much memory do i have it sas that is 736mb free
When you plug in your camera it should show up as a "Mass Storage Device" and add a new drive under My Computer. You can then access the camera directly through that drive and just Copy-Paste the images to a folder on the PC hard drive...
If the camera does not show up as a Flash Drive, then I would suggest installing your software on a friends computer (one that uses WinXP) transfering the files to their machine, then emailing them to yourself, or sticking them on a small flash drive and taking them home...
