I have a Alba portable Tv/Dvd television. It must be at least 6 years old. Am unable to play dvds on it at the mo. Just comes up with the message 'bad disc'. Unfortunately, i cannot locate the instructions and would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on what to do. TVD3455/025 5467000785 are on the back, if this helps. try to use cd cleaner first. usually len has a dirt thats why you player was unable to read year disc. if same thing happened after you cleaned the lens. then it might be a lens problem
If the player is doing that for all DVDs but playing CDs properly, the player has gone bad due to either the laser and lens being out of whack or the DVD drive just doesn't recognise DVDs anymore and needs repaired or replaced.
