Wet pulp I've been having great success with this machine until today -- I've had it for about 1 month and have been using it successfully almost every day, juicing greens and fruit. Today I tried it and most of the juice is being extracted along with the pulp. Virtually no juice is extracting and the pulp coming out is very wet. The machine is assembled the same way as always. Do you have any ideas? thanks, Kate W.
There are two almost identical cone-shaped parts, one with metal screening and one solid dark plastic (I'm going by the parts color appearance of my 8003 model). Be sure you're using the one with the screen, otherwise the juice has nowhere to go but out with the pulp.

This usually is indication of pulp backing up in the machine make sure you are pre cutting the produce and also make sure the tensioner on the end is adjusted according tot he produce being used. Example: softer produce requires less tension where as leafy green vegetables you can increase the tensioner.
I really have no idea where to find a new one, but... I've got Jack Lalenne's Power Juicer, an older model, and I, too, have lost the jug bin. So, what I do, is use a plastic bag. I pull it over the whole opening through which the pulp comes out and add some scotch tape so it doesn't fall off. I'm pretty sure a paper bag could be used, as well. I know it doesn't answer your question, but it can be a temporary solution..!
There is no solution. These juicers do not eject the pulp and go out of balance very easily. Don't feel bad, I've seen you tube videos where the demonstrator couldn't keep it under control. If you are unable to master it, consider a pulp ejecting or masticating type juicer.
Mine stopped working after only a few uses. It turns out that the safety microswitch button wasn't being depressed. The little button on the bottom of the pulp collector had broken off. (Image #1) I put a 1/4 inch piece of a shishkabob skewer in the hole before putting the pulp collector on. (image #2) It works fine now. It's still safe. The motor will not start unless the pulp collector (receptacle) is in place and locked in. Be sure to unplug the machine before doing this.
No overhaul. These juicers do not eject the pulp and are subject to vibration especially if you install a new blade. I've had one for 21 years and get by using a worn blade which I sharpen with an electric drill using a small bit.
Unfortunately, since these juicers do not eject the pulp, they will tend to go out of balance. Juice nothing softer than apples and try to feed it as evenly and as slowly as possible.
are you exceeding the capacity of the juicer? you will get about 2 and 1/2 large glasses of juice before the pulp fills the spinning basket. Apple peels are very tough, apples and tomatoes need to be peeled before juicing. Use the filters, the juice comes out much clearer and the juicer is easier to clean up. I so a lot of carrots, carrots are super food.
