Anyone know code for kenwood kdc-mp-232

Here is the manual:
http://www.masterspas.com/manuals_av/Kenwood_KDCMP232_Manual.pdf

From what I have read, you can set a new code, but you need to know the old code. You can also reset the code, but you need the old code. You can also disable the code, but you need the old code as well.

I would suggest trying different combinations of 4 digit codes, there are only 256 combinations. I am sure you will figure it out.

Wiring diagram for a kenwood KDC MP232 to a 2003 chevy malibu

Aftermarket cd players are all universal and have the same colors. You need to go to your local car audio store such as walmart, bestbuy, ect and buy a wire harness adapter. Then all the wires are color coordinated to make it easy, just wire colored wires together and plug in. If I have helped please leave positive feedback. Thanks

My Kenwood KDC-MP232 entered "protect" mode, & I do't know why

This unit has an anti-theft program that is activated when a code is programed.

At this point forward, the power circuit is monitored, thus when the power is disconnected or drops below 12VDC it shuts down and the code must be entered to reactivate the unit and its functions.

Other circumstances that might trigger the anti-theft shut down are...

Bad power or ground connection to head unit.
A weak or faulty battery/alternator.
A blown fuse.
A sudden power surge, as happens when jump starting another car.

As for your personal 4 digit code, I cant help you with that but some high-end car audio dealers offer a diagnostic service that can reset a coded/locked out unit.

Good luck

Security

"Protect" isn't for security on a Kenwood; it's caused by a problem with the speaker output. There may be a defect in the CD player, or you may have a blown speaker or a shorted speaker wire in the vehicle. Try disconnecting all the speakers and see if the unit still shows "protect" when you turn it on. If it still shows the "protect" message with no speakers connected, the unit needs to be serviced; if not, re-connect the speakers one at a time until you find out which one is causing the problem.
