I have a Toshiba 52JM9UA just shut itself down. Red power light is on but green light is blinking intermitently about half a second apart then it tuns off. After about 5 seconds the sequence repeats and sounds like its trying to turn itself back on. Blinking green light then off again. Followed trouble shooting guide nothing worked can you advise. Unit is not even 1 year old.
Sounds like the bulb is blown. Its the main lamp in the side of the set. you will see a small door there once you take it off there is 2 screws to remove and bulb in its casing will slip out. by looking at the buld you should be able to see if its blown. You should get approx 3000 to 4000 hours from a bulb but if you are a heavy user of this tv with higher contrast the bulbs dont last. i have this model tv myself and ive been told that they are not designed to be run for long periods of time and dont use gaming machines on them. Shame they dont tell us this when we are buying them.. hope this helps you Craig ([email protected]) let me know how you get on

Hi! I have the same problem with my TV and i'm in Brazil (S. America) and here we havent this part. How do i fix this?
Had a tech look at the problem and said that the light bulb had totaly blown itself. I thought it would be 3 bulbs but it was just one and had a colour wheel inside. The service cost me $400.00NZ dollars. the bulb I would guess would be around the $200.00 dollar range. Next time I know what to look out for.
