Go to the power management settings in Windows. Open control panel, then go to power options, then look for power schemes. From the drop down, select your preferred option.

Cursor jump while typing

It's the touchpad driver that's causing it. I suggest that you update the driver. You can search for the driver manually or use RadarSync to save your time.

Tv wont power up Standby light keeps flashing.

First step in any Sony LCD projector repair is bulb or lamp replacement. Fixes 95% of problems.

Taking apart and trying to measure things without a known good bulb is a waste of time and effort.

How do I stop my viao locking me out if I dont use

If you are using XP, it's control panel/display/screensaver...set the wait time to whatever you choose.
Then click the 'power' button, and set your 'turn off monitor', 'turn off hard disks', 'system standby', and 'system hibernate' times.
If this helps plz do the testimonial thing.

Sony Viao HDMI to Panasonic Plasma TV HDMI Input handshake

Try all of your HDMI inputs, one may be rated at the correct voltage to be able to display the video. The offical part that Panasonic was giving for this was PDPHDMIKIT, its basically a HDMI extender that regulates the voltage. The part is still available online, try partstore.com or andrews-electronics.

Bulb Reset issue

I had the same problem and called Sony, they just said to keep trying what the manual says to do, but make sure the unit is in standby mode. I tried in powered mode and in standby mode many times and it did not work. Then I tried again the next day when the unit had been in standby mode for an extended time period. I hit the four buttons like the manual said, all four in quick succession. I also tried the four buttons in many different sequences from what the manual said. When I powered back up the lamp timer was set to zero, finally! I think having the unit in standby for an extended time was the key. The Sony rep really emphasized the need for the unit to be in standby.
