When a blue screen appears, what could be the problem?

On this model KP-57HW40, if the screen is blue with or without some slight curved trace lines---either you have a bad BLUE picture tube or maybe an adjustment that can restore the set to normal operation.

A lot of these sets had bad picture tubes----if a bad tube they are not available--only way to get one is remove the bad one in the set and have it rebuilt--very expensive and usually not worth the costs.

Let me know---if you go to a unused video input--is the screen Blue with or without faint curved lines?

If it is I can give you fairly easy instructions on how to try to adjust for this-----Understand: if the adjustment corrects the problem you may only be buying some time with this set---if the problem was caused by a bad tube---sooner or later it may come back...
