Where can I find a replacement battery charger for my "STAFFORD ESSENTIALS" Electric shaver?

Are you missing the entire base as well or has the plug-in adaptor just failed?

If it is the latter, about any technician with a soldering iron can do a little surgery and replace the 'wall wart' if that is what has failed.

SOURCE: How to replace battery pack for a Norelco 6885xl electric shaver

The battery pack is soldered to the shaver's circuit board. Yes, it's a poor design in building something that people can't readily service unless they have a soldering gun, ******, and wick, plus patience. However, there are plenty complaints online already, and my shaver won't get fixed by b-tching some more.

There are 2 choices for replacement:

1. Bring or mail it to a service center to have the batteries replaced. The fee usually runs $29.99-$39.99, which includes the battery, parts, labor, lubrating your motor, cleaning the interior, cleaning/stripping the cutters, heads, and trimmer, plus return shipping.

2. To save yourself $26-33 bucks, make sure you know how to solder and have the equipment described above. you can find single NiCad AA with solder tab for $3ea or a pair for about $7.95+. Table the batteries together, solder a single tab across +/- on one side, and solder the others onto their respective tabs in your shaver.

For me, I'd love nothing than to hobby around and do it myself, but with 3 kids, a full-time, job, Wii, and other hobbies, it's easiest to just send it out... some services will guarantee to have it done within 2 days of receipt. You'll just have a lil beard to test it out when you get it back. :-)

SOURCE: Electric Shaver will not charge

There are 4 small philips head screws deeply recessed on the rear of the razor. Unscrew these and the back half of the case just lifts off. Unsolder the battery leads and fit new battery pack.

SOURCE: I lost my Philips Coolskin 7775X shaver charger.

Hi, You can purchase a new charging cord from electricshaver.com for around $23.00 which is probably the best thing to do if you want to keep using the shaver.

Otherwise the specs for the shaver are as follows:

  • Input voltage 100-240 V-AC
  • Output voltage 15V DC, 360MA
The part number for the replacement charging adpater cord is #3605160

Here's a link to the part you're looking for, should you decide to purchase a replacement instead of trying to make your own charger, which will be difficult unless you have the full array of electrical components and ability to fabricate it.

You can also give them a call at 1-888-476-1785

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

SOURCE: I own a Braun Electric Shaver Model 6525 Flex

if the shaver is DEAD and the green light no longer illuminates when you plug it in, the circuit board is almost certainly bad. The circuit board will burn out if you run the shaver from the batteries for a long time after the batteries have stopped charing properly.
you can purchase a new circuit board which has the batteries alrady on it. it just needs to be dropped in place inside the shaver.
you will find this part at shaveroutlet.com. see link below

Most likely, the batteries are dead and need replaced. You need two batteries and they can be found at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

My 7100 will no longer charge but I don't know how to determine whether it's the shaver or the charger that's at fault

If you have acess to a multimeter or a simple neon bulb type electrical tester, you can simply use the two test leads to see if the charger is putting out any power. Just set the multimeter to the proper voltage type (either AC or DC) that matches what the charger outputs to the razor.

If you're in doubt about the type of voltage being supplied by the charger (it is typically DC) you can simply start with the meter set at 120 V-AC or higher and if you don't get a reading, simply switch it over to DC of at least 200 Volts.

Be very careful with the test leads that you don't get them crossed when testing the charger/cord. You can first put the test leads into the charger cord set and then plug in the cord to the wall outlet, if that's easier for you.

Typicaly, the rechargeable batteries degrade to a point that they will no longer accept a charge and will need to be replaced.

If you are capable of disassembling and soldering, you can probably do the replacement of the rechargeable batteries yourself.

If not, you might want to have this done by a qualified service shop, such as electricshaver.com. They also stock the repair/replacement parts for most brands of electric shavers, including the batteries for your shaver.

You can reach them at 1-888-476-1785 or by www.electricshaver.com and request a price for doing the service on your shaver or for buying the batteries so you can do it yourself.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
