Problem: Samsung LTM1755B with only a blinking yellow LED when you try to turn it on.

Solution: I just had one of these come in. I opened it up, and found the U501 capacitor a little suspicious looking, in that it had a deformed top. It was a 470uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 12mm. I replaced it with a very good quality 1000uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 16mm Nichicon UHN1C102MPD. After that repair, when I tried to turn it on, the LED was yellow for a second, then green, then I got a picture, and it appeared to work great. I then asked the owner a week later how it was working, and they said it was working just like new!

You may have a back lights problem.

To test the back lights, you need to disconnect the cable between the main power supply & the main board, apply the AC power to the power supply, if the back lights are not light up, or blinks, the back light are defective.

How do I fix my Samsung LCD TV?

It rather seems to depend on the model. I have seen Two videos on YouTube, one says it could be the LED back lighter, with a burned or shorted out LED(s). In the other it says it is the power supply board. But both were different Samsung TV's. The LED one if that looks tricky to do. If it is the power board, which I think it could be, you should be able to get the full board fairly cheap. Just be careful with the voltages when removing it, if you intend to do it yourself.
To see the Videos just type "Samsung TV blinking lights" into YouTube.

Hi Isnovero,
The main reasons of your problem is the bulb which is already came to its end. The unit will automatically shuts off when it sense a bulb failure. But before you replace the bulb I would advice you to work first on its power supply. Look for open fuse/fusible resistor and spot some bad solder joints. This will do the same symptoms like what it showing now. If you don't have necessary tools and test instruments, and can't do the job yourself, I would advice you to look for a professional to troubleshoot the problem. Don't attempt to work in the power supply if you don't know the safety precaution of handling it, there some stored electricity enough to hurt you with a little mistake only.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day! Thanks for using Fixya.
