Remove the battery and insert again. if it continues then you will have to check the power source perhaps current it not enough for charging, if it continues then you will have to get a new battery

Dell Inspiron 6000 (approx 4 years old) has an issue with the power cord internal connection? Battery and Power cord/adapter are fine. Computer constantly switches from battery to AC when powered on. ...

The input jack that is soldered to the motherboard (where the AC jack plugs in) probably has a cold solder joint. Thus the laptop switches from battery to AC power. You can try to have the solder joints
re-soldered.

My dell inspiron 2200 does not recognize the battery, therefore, it does not charge it and the battery light continues to blink orange. Can you help me please?

The red light is indicating that there is a battery in the system that does not respond to charging.
if the computer doest regognize a battery at all i would nor react with orange blinking.
Start the computer without the battery in place,
only have the power cord connected,
There will be no blinking.
Dell use the "blink" to tell the user its time to buy a new battery.

Inspiron Battery Light Flashing Orange

Battery.

Dell has a chip internal to the battery programed to shut down after a certain number of charge cycles. This means every time you plug the laptop in with the battery installed. When it reaches this determined number the battery effectively shuts down, even though technically it's still good. There have been loads of complaints on the net toward Dell over this issue. I have myself experience this. Battery good one day, powered down, went home, powered up... only to receive the deadly flashing light. Only cure is to replace battery. Several hacks trying to get around this but they're all horrible. Bad Dell - bad, bad Dell!

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop computer and I'm experiencing a problem with the orange battery light flickering continuouslyl; though the green battery light is displayed. Thank you

I think you may be referring to the green power light and the orange hard drive activity light.you should have a power icon located on the bottom bar on the desktop near the clock that indicates battery power.

Battery icon flickering when plugged in

this is common within your product series. i actually havent seen one that doesnt do that. it either means the battery is dead or the motherboard is bad. and im starting to lean tword motherboard only because this is such a comon problem. and even after people buy new batteries, it still does it. so i believe its your motherboard.

Dell inspiron blinking orange battery light. keybrd not respondg

Try this: remove your battery, unplug power, press and hold power button for at least 20 seconds, plug power cord back in but not the battery, press power and see if you get normal boot. If this is the case, your battery probably needs replaced.

Power indicator light blinking

it looks like the battery is defective. try reseat the battery while the power cord plug in to see if that help. if you remove the battery and leave the power cord plug in, the battery symbol indicator light will turn off. Time to order a replacement battery.

Blinking Lights, Computer Wont Boot

If it's blinking 9 times then it's likely telling you one or more of the RAM sticks are in need of replacement. To check these, remove the laptops power cord and battery, then locate and remove, the cover for the RAM. Remove one chip at a time and try booting the laptop.

Dell inspiron 6000 laptop

maybe..or it's deeply discharged..you may need to run the computer, sans the battery, then install battery while the computer is up, and then do a full recharge.
