once out of the camera & deleted form the card, the camera will not display any of the images because it does not have that function. even jpeg images being the same format cannot be viewed.
Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for
about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! If you view a driver, and it says you do not need one, then how do you have a driver to view? Everyhing has a driver, if they didnt then how could the CPU recognize anything?
Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
Yes, if using a PC you will see the drive in My Computer if it is plugged in with the USB cord and turned on. It should pop up as a new drive as soon as it is turned on. Double click on the new drive to get the pics. If however, you are still using Win 98, you will need a driver from the manufactures website in order to get the pics.
