Headlight won't turn on.

It can only be the headlight switch or the wiring.

The brake lights work from power, plus the brake switch and the lamp.

The headlights work from power to headlight switch to the headlight lamp and the tail light lamp.

Apparently the headlight does work via a relay so test that.

Check the light switch , wiring circuit for broken wires ,loose connection or corrosion or even a blown headlight bulb .

Headlight will not come on until bike is running and charging system is functioning properly. Three things come to mind:
1. The charging system may not be working and therefore not triggering the relay in the junction box.
2. The headlight relay in the junction box may have gone bad.
3. The fuse may be blown.

If you suspect the relay, you can bypass it by moving the blue wire to the empty hole in the plug going to the junction box. This will make the headlight come on when the key is turned on instead of when the motor starts.

Check fuse...

What about the ignition switch?? The get burned contacts and the headlight runs through it.

-Check "headLight fuse"
-Check connector at the headlight.
-Check the bulb. (It could burn out)

not wired properly.. temporarily splice a positive constant wire.. and hook to headlight.. to rule out headlight not working.

mess around with a tester (drawing a blank on actual name) but check to see if you're even getting power down to those components..

Depending on the version, normally there would be two (2) relays for most Kawasakis that control the headlight(s). Often the hi-lo relays (with white connectors) would be behind the gauges. Again depending on the model, some would not have a headlight on/park/off but only hi-lo as the headlights automatically switch on when the engine is running.
