Oil rises when it is hot..So with engine cold and not running set parking brake, get safety glasses.get a shop towel..Remove oil dipstick and wipe it clean..Inspect stick and it will show you where oil level should be....Stick it back in slowly until it bottoms out..Remove slowly and check level...
bad egr valve, pcv valve, if the level of your oil isnt rising its probably just the oil washing the cylinder walls during the piston strokes. It could be that your rings are wearing but you should get blue smoke. Try changing your oil and see if the smell returns quickly or not.
I would check the inline fuel filter to see if it needs replacing. Sounds like the fuel line is losing prime which could either mean a fuel pump going bad or a faulty fuel pressure regulator or even a loose fitting in the fuel line somewhere. Does the car smell like gas when it sits a while? They might signify leaking fuel line. Check your oil, does it smell like gas? That could signify a faulty fuel pressure regulator that is dumping fuel when the car is shut off which drains down to the crankcase. I would guess fuel pump though.
The vehicle has overheated that coolant that leak out that is why the air condtion doesnt get cold. The vehicle is trying to communicate to you you have a coolant leak going on
If you had to add oil, more then likely there an oil leak could be a gasket or oil seal, where ever the leak is at it's falling on the exhaust manifold and burning the oil, that's what you smell. Have it check cause low oil will damage you engine.
The CHANGE OIL LIGHT can be rest by putting on the key with engine off, and pumping the gas pedal up and down completely 3X in 5 seconds. Sould clear then, if nec. repeat.
