SOURCE: Unable to reset Lamp Hour Meter on Panasonic PT-50LC14

Try this, using the Panasonic remote, wait until the notice about your lamp goes AWAY (it wont work with the message still up).
Hold the volume down on your tv while holding the split/play button on the remote.
You will get a notice about 4-5 seconds later that it was reset.

Howdy,
To reset your Panasonic Lamp Time:
ø Press and hold these buttons for (at least) 5 seconds:
ø Volume Down button (on TV Panel).
ø AND ACTION Button (on remote).

As the remote gets older the ACTION button may not respond unless you press the button dead center and not at an angle.

Thanks for using FIXYA, BIG IRISH.

LAMP HOURS

Sure.

Make sure the set is off but plugged in. Hold the "volume down" button on the set while pressing the "tv/video" button on the remote (at the same time) over 5 seconds.

This is a "customer" service mode where you can't screw up the set but can get some basic info on your unit. You cannot change any internal info in this mode.

Hit the "power" button when you're done and leave set off for 10 seconds before turning back on to reset your tv.

Good luck, Mark
