SOURCE: I am trying to fix the dial on my hobart slicer any ideas
This is the deal jason, get a rubber mallet, mineral oil and a mapp torch. If you look at the guage plate this is the part that the meat/cheese goes on you will see 2 rods that connect it.Heat the rods up and put on mineral oil.Hit the guage plate down while turning the knob left then hit it up and knob to the right ,keep doing this and apply plenty of oil .It will be good as new!

SmallAppliance.com has the part you need. Waring is no help at all. They only sell the replacement blade! Go to this web site: http://www.smallappliance.com/product.asp?pid=5147&cur=USD&cam=waring_parts&sid=18956&mid=34&gid=18971&prdCls=P&PartsPaNu=1&shopBy=Brand
and get the part. Thankfully they carry the motor gear you need. I had nothing but frustration dealing with Waring trying to get this part. Finally a nice Waring tech told me about smallappliance.com. Good Luck!
