Problem with dual zone heating only one side i check control thermost botton is ok

Sounds like the blend door actuator. It separates the driver and passenger side from getting air on the AZC system. Here are some instructions on replacing it:
The passenger side blend door actuator is used on all models equipped with Automatic Zone Control (AZC). This actuator is located on the front of the HVAC housing to the right of the floor panel transmission tunnel and cannot be removed from the passenger compartment without instrument panel or HVAC housing removal.

NOTE: This procedure is for AZC Systems (Passenger side only).

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the glove box door. See: Body and Frame\Interior Moulding / Trim
  3. Remove the lower I/P glove box door surround panel.
  4. Remove the dash assembly. See: Body and Frame\Interior Moulding / Trim\Dashboard / Instrument Panel\Service and Repair\Instrument Panel Assembly
  5. Remove the HVAC assembly. See: Housing Assembly HVAC\Service and Repair
  6. Unplug the wire harness connector from the blend door actuator.
  7. Remove the 2 screws that secure the blend door actuator to the HVAC housing.
  8. Remove the blend door actuator from the HVAC housing.
INSTALLATION - AZC (Passenger side only)


  1. In stall the blend door actuator on the HVAC housing and tighten the two mounting screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
  2. Plug in the wire harness connector to the blend door actuator.
  3. In stall the HVAC unit into the vehicle. See: Housing Assembly HVAC\Service and Repair
  4. Install the instrument panel assembly into the vehicle. See: Body and Frame\Interior Moulding / Trim\Dashboard / Instrument Panel\Service and Repair\Instrument Panel Assembly
  5. Evacuate the HVAC system.
  6. Recharge the HVAC system.
  7. Connect and the battery negative cable.

AIR FILTER
DESCRIPTION

A dust and odor air filter is standard equipment on
models equipped with the three zone temperature
control systems. The filter element is the
same size as the front air conditioner evaporator to
ensure ample filtering capacity. A removable door on
the bottom of the front HVAC housing below the
glove box provides easy access to the filter element
for replacement. The filter should be checked and
replaced at least once every 24,000 km (15,000 miles)
and checked if heater-A/C system performance seems
lower than expected.
REMOVAL
(1) Locate the air filter door on the bottom of the
lower HVAC housing just outboard of the passenger
side of the instrument panel center stack.
(2) Slide the air filter door latch toward the rear of
the vehicle until it engages the opened stop on the
door.
(3) Pull the air filter door straight downward to
disengage it from the air filter opening of the lower
HVAC housing.
(4) Use your fingers to reach through the air filter
opening of the lower HVAC housing far enough to
grasp the air filter.
(5) Pull the air filter straight down and out of the
HVAC housing.
INSTALLATION
(1) Note the “Airflow” directional arrow imprinted
on the foam seal around the frame of the air filter.
This arrow should always be oriented towards the
center of the vehicle.
(2) With the air filter “Airflow” arrow properly oriented,
carefully slide the filter fully upward into the
HVAC housing through the air filter opening.
(3) With the latch still positioned against its
opened stop, reinstall the air filter door onto the
lower HVAC housing air filter opening.
(4) Slide the air filter door latch toward the front
of the vehicle until it hits the closed stop on the door.

DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIR-BAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH OR DEATH.

NOTE: The blower motor is located on the passenger side of the vehicle under the instrument panel. The blower motor can be removed from the vehicle without having to remove the HVAC housing.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the passenger side cowl trim panel.
  3. Position the carpet to access the front upper screw that secures the air inlet housing.
  4. Remove the recirculation door actuator.
  5. Disconnect the blower motor wire lead connector from the blower motor resistor or power module, depending on application.
    1. Remove the one screw (from the top) that secures the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing.
    2. Remove the four screws (from the bottom) that secure the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing and remove the lower HVAC housing.
    3. Push the rubber grommet through the opening in the lower air inlet housing.
    4. Route the blower motor wire lead through the opening in the lower air inlet housing and remove the lower air inlet housing from the vehicle.
    5. Position the recirculation-air door as necessary to access and remove the three screws that secure the blower motor to the lower half of the HVAC housing.
    6. Gently flex the recirculation air door downward to gain access to remove the blower motor from the HVAC housing. NOTE: To aid in installation, note the position of the blower motor mounting tabs prior to removal
      1. Remove the blower motor from the HVAC housing by rotating and tilting the blower motor as necessary.
      INSTALLATION

      1. Gently flex the recirculation-air door downward to gain access to install the blower motor into the HVAC housing.
      2. Position the blower motor to the HVAC housing and tilt and rotate the blower motor as necessary to install it into the HVAC housing.
      3. Align the blower motor mounting tabs to the locations noted during removal and install the three screws that secure the blower motor to the HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (17 in. lbs.).
      4. Route the blower motor wire lead through the opening in the lower air inlet housing and seat the rubber grommet.
      5. Position the recirculation door pivot shaft into the lower air inlet housing and install the inlet housing.
      6. Install the four screws (from the bottom) that secure the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing and the lower HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (17 in. lbs.).
      7. Install the one screw (from the top) that secures the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing. Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (17 in. lbs.).
      8. Connect the blower motor wire lead connector to the blower motor resistor or power module, depending on application.
      9. Install the recirculation door actuator.
      10. Reposition the carpet.
      11. Install the passenger side cowl trim panel.
      12. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
      13. Perform the heater-A/C control calibration procedure.

    1. Remove the screws and retainers that secure the heater core and tubes to the HVAC housing.
    2. Remove the mode door actuator if necessary for clearance to remove the core.
      1. Lift the heater core straight up and out of the HVAC housing.
      2. When replacing individual tubes, loosen and remove the round tube-to-core clamp, and pull tube from core.
      INSTALLATION

      WARNING: REVIEW THE WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS IN THE FRONT OF THIS SECTION BEFORE PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING OPERATION. See: Heating and Air Conditioning\Service Precautions

      Any kinks or sharp bends in the refrigerant plumbing will reduce the capacity of the entire air conditioning system. Kinks and sharp bends reduce the flow of refrigerant in the system. A good rule for the flexible hose refrigerant lines is to keep the radius of all bends at least ten times the diameter of the hose. In addition, the flexible hose refrigerant lines should be routed so they are at least 80 millimeters (3 inches) from the exhaust manifold.

      High pressures are produced in the refrigerant system when the air conditioning compressor is operating. Extreme care must be exercised to make sure that each of the refrigerant system connections is pressure-tight and leak free. It is a good practice to inspect all flexible hose refrigerant lines at least once a year to make sure they are in good condition and properly routed.


      1. When installing individual tubes, insert tube into core ensuring that tube O-ring is seated in core and not pinched. Hold tube in seated position while installing the round tube-to-core clamp. NOTE: The round tube-to-heater-core clamp should be left loose enough to turn the tube in the core. Position the core in the housing, and then tighten the tube-to-heater-core clamp after orienting the tubes to the molded HVAC housing.
      2. Lower the heater core into the HVAC housing.
      3. Install the mode door actuator, if removed from housing for core removal.
      4. Position the retainers over the heater core tubes. Install and tighten the screws that secure the heater core and retainers to the HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) . NOTE: The grounding strap is to be attached to the lower heater core tube retainer.
      5. Reinstall the HVAC housing to the vehicle. See: Heating and Air Conditioning\Housing Assembly HVAC\Service and Repair

    1. Position the HVAC housing to the dash panel. Be certain that the evaporator condensate drain tube and the housing mounting studs are inserted into their correct mounting holes.
    2. Install the HVAC housing mounting nuts to the studs on the passenger compartment side of the dash panel. Tighten the nuts to 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.) .
    3. Connect the HVAC housing wire harness connectors.
    4. Reinstall the rear floor heat ducts to the center floor heat duct outlets.
    5. Install and tighten the nuts onto the HVAC housing mounting studs on the engine compartment side of the dash panel. Tighten the nuts to 7 Nm (60 in. lbs.) .
    6. Reinstall the PCM to the passenger side dash panel in the engine compartment. See: Powertrain Management\Computers and Control Systems\Engine Control Module\Service and Repair
    7. Reinstall the coolant reserve/overflow bottle to the passenger side inner fender shield. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust\Cooling System\Coolant Reservoir
    8. If the vehicle is equipped with the manual temperature control system, connect the HVAC system vacuum supply line connector to the tee fitting near the heater core tubes.
    9. Unclamp/unplug the heater core hoses and tubes. Connect the heater hoses to the heater core tubes and fill the engine cooling system. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust\Cooling System\Service and Repair
    10. Unplug or remove the tape from the suction line and the evaporator outlet tube fittings. Connect the suction line to the evaporator outlet tube. Tighten retaining nut to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) .
    11. Unplug or remove the tape from the liquid line and the evaporator inlet tube fittings. Connect the liquid line to the evaporator inlet tube. Tighten retaining nut to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) .
    12. Evacuate the refrigerant system. See: Refrigerant\Service and Repair
    13. Charge the refrigerant system. See: Refrigerant\Service and Repair
    14. Install the instrument panel in the vehicle.
