I just installed a comfort zone CZ220 heater in our greenhouse but the lights and heater are not coming on.

I have checked that there is 220vpower and it is wired correctly and have reset the breaker but still nothing. It is going to get cold in the next few days so any help would be appreciated

SOURCE: Properly installed electric baseboard heater won't work.

I am an electrician. You must measure the voltage across the black and red wires. Measuring each wire to the neutral will not cut it. If both your red and black wire are on the same phase the heater will not work.

To double check your wiring, measure the voltage across the two screws feeding your subpanel, they should be 240v or 208v depending on your power company. Then do the same at the breaker feeding your thermostat. Again it should read 240v.

If you have no potential across the screws it is possible that you installed an incorrect breaker. Not all breakers with two screws on them are 240v breakers. There is what is called a twin or split breaker that has two screws that are on the same phase. These are for wiring two 110v circuits, when you run out of spaces in the panel.

Double check everything. This is a relatively easy circuit to wire, even for homeowners. If the heater does not work them something is wrong so do not leave the circuit energized.

SOURCE: Check engine light keeps coming on replaced gas cap already

Your problem is in the evaporative emission system which is designed to prevent the escape of fuel vapors from the fuel system. Leaks in the system, even small ones, can allow fuel vapors to escape into the atmosphere. The light coming on can be caused by one of the following:

1. Defective or loose fuel cap
2. EVAP canister or hose cracked- not connected
3. Purge or vent solenoid defective
4. Vacuum leak at engine Government regulations require on-board testing to make sure that the evaporative (EVAP) system is functioning properly. The leak detection system tests for EVAP system leaks and blockage. It also performs self-diagnostics. You have tried the easy fix, the gas cap. Finding the leak now will require special equipment and testing procedures, might be better left to a professional.

Please let me know if this information is helpful. Positive feedback is appreciated. Thank You!

E1 error code on a cz220 comfort zone model heater what does it mean

The E1 error code on a Comfort Zone CZ220 heater indicates a problem with the high-temperature limit switch. This switch is a safety feature that shuts off the heater if it overheats.
To clear the error code, you can try resetting the heater by unplugging it from the power outlet and waiting for at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in. If the error code persists, it may indicate a more serious issue with the heater that requires professional repair.

Comfort Zone CZ220 5000-Watt, 240v Hard Wired Fan Heater. The cutoff and the red light came on. What causes this to happen? I'm thinking it's overheating but what would cause it to overheat?

Question edited for a lot more clarity. A lonely model number in Cars and Trucks category doesn't cut it. FULL 'make model (what it is)' please.

Fan not spinning fast enough or thermostat not working properly. Possibly a faulty overheat cut out.

I have a Comfort Zone CZ220, Can I use a 40 or 50 Amp breaker or should I drop down to the recommended 30 Amp

There is no reason to use a 40 or 50 amp breaker on the circuit. If you do, you risk a fire from the wire size being wrong from the breaker. Use the recommended 30. Also if you use the over rated size breaker it wont pass an inspection that you have to get.
