A flashback can have potentially serious consequences...

A person who is thoroughly conversant with the procedure and safety will know how to connect the hoses to the welding torch and to the cylinders - if it is a quality unit, it is an intuitive process due to the fuel gas fittings being left hand thread and the oxygen normal or right hand thread and the hoses are or should be different colours with blue being the norm for oxygen and red or orange for the fuel gas.

One final word - never, ever, under any circumstances use a lubricant on the threads of the oxygen bottle or associated fittings...

How to change the flint on micro torch roburn mt-770

There is no flint.
It uses a piezoelectric igniter. Not really replaceable.
Point it at yourself at arms length and see if you can see a spark when you press the button to start it.
Here is a video which shows how to adjust the air-gas mixture when the torch is new.

Thermal Dynamics cutmaster 81. when turned on it cycles blowing air but no arc. two green lights are flashing. pulling the trigger doesn't do anything, air keeps cycling

Hi; Check the following troubleshoot and see if you can ID the problem:
Problem: Gas flows continuously when power is turned on, AC indicator flashes 1. Torch switch is activated (closed) before user turns power on. a. Release torch switch. 2. Faulty torch switch a. Check torch switch for continuity. Replace if necessary.
Problem: Gas flows continuously; Torch will not pilot when torch switch is activated; AC indicator ON 1. System is in SET mode a. Change to RUN / Rapid Auto Restart / SET switch to RUN (up).
Mostly of the problems found is that customer has the switch line on to SET instead of RUN.
Hope this help. Have a good afternoon.

Blazer pocket micro torch will not spark. Gas comes out, but no spark to ignite it.

try to open up the part where the spark would come from. there should be a screw on the bottom or top to open it. This is where the flint would be.

The flint is probably worn down or it broke (you can buy new flints at pretty much any convince store around they are i believe $1-2 for 5 of them.

replace the flint and you will have a spark.

I bought an older syncrowave 250 i dont know where the torch is connected and there it doest spark

Torch goes to ground side where gas will flow out of it. Use a tig torch 17 if water cooling is not needed or a size 20 for water cooled one.

The Blazer micro torch does not ignite (no hissing sound for the gas either) and we did fill it with butane? Any suggestions - have had it for awhile - maybe it needs new flint? or whatever ignites it....

Hi. Get a piece of very fine wire, hardware store is a good source, and run it into the nozzle. Chances are that the nozzle is clogged. Once it is hissing again it will ignite unless you also need a new flint. J.
