well at 25ft you will run out of drop, its all down to how high the scope is above the barrel when its fitted to the rifle a 30-06 should be set up over 100 yds and shooting out that far it will be shooting low,,your rifle will shoot right out to 1000yds so you will get about 5ft drop out that far,,,and by the way,,,its very very dangers to discharge your rifle into a sand bag closer that 30 yds,, you may well get hit by a bit of the bullet jacket being striped off the bullet and coming back at you so done do it, right! shoot it over 100yds
however if its still shooting hight at say 50yds the only way to drop the point of aim is pack out the front of the scope mount with a strip of 35mm film slip it under the front ring (not the eye end) and sit the scope on it then do up the screws to nip it up this will lift up the front of the scope and it will shoot lower,,also if you were to put a strip under the eye end it razes the point of aim, i do this often for the members of my club on much biger rifles than 30-06's
and they dont drift or move off aim its a cheap fix, or you need a new mount?
Generally, heavier bullets are better for knockdown power and lighter bullets are faster. Also, the construction of the bullet itself -- for hunting, soft points or hollow points, of course -- should be taken into account. Although .30-30s have accounted for lots and lots of deer being shot over the century or so they've been around, they are not ideal. I'm a gun guy, not a hunter, but you might want to check what some fellow hunters in your area are using. JERRY AHERN
Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Remove the idle screw and the air screw on the outside throat of the carb and spray into the screw holes as well. < < READ CLOSELY > > Be sure to put these two screws back in the same hole they came out of. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two screws down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each screw one and one half turns outward. Put the rest of the carb back together, clean the air filter and install the carb. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine. This process should get you back on the road. The have the ability to do it, but the carrier will not track the mobile without a court order. Only thing you can do is remove it from your account so that the person who has it cannot use it on your account.
it looks like when you took this apart you did not alignt the lenses properly, there should be a locating groove or stub which these lenses should fit to... it looks like they are pressing against the stub but are not located properly, hence the distortion.
try taking it apart again....when you put it back together again the fault may have gone.
