We solved this by replacing the thermostat with a new one.

how long have you had this problem? I have a problem with my C440 and defy is offering me a C380 at a very reduced price. I was wondering about the relyability?

The motor is shorted or the compressor is frozen.

SOURCE: defy refrigerator gr-329bv is not getting cold enough. the freezer part is working like a bom. but the fridge part is not making cold enough. Please help

If your refrigerator is not new, it might need to have the area under the front of the refrigerator cleaned out anything that may be blocking the airflow from the fan.

Sometimes that works but there ma be a problem with the thermostat.

Hope this is the information you need.

Defy fridge only works on the freezer side. The fridge side is warm! What could be the problem.

The freezer provides the cold air for the fridge via a vent at the back of the fridge. If you have a fridge freezer where the freezer is on top of the fridge, sometimes the vent can get blocked by ice. You would have to remove the food from the freezer and remove the back panel to look. Ice can be removed with a hair dryer or a heat gun.

The other possibility is that the recirculation fan in the fridge has stopped spinning.

Or it needs more gas although this is unlikely.

How to bypass defy f640 thermostat and how to bypass the evaporative fan motor

The thermostat is your cutout when the refrigerator reaches the correct temperature. If you bypass it, your fridge will become a freezer, but it will also overheat and set your house on fire because it will never be idle.

The evaporator fan cycles the air and makes the cold air reach all area of the fridge. Cold air sinks to the bottom so the food at the top will spoil. Also the evaporator will freeze up much faster and the fridge will be more inefficient.

I don't think you have thought this through my friend. Just replace the parts!

Check to see if you have compressor issue. May bave a bad start capacitor/relay.

you mite need to replace your thermostat,...... the alarm button is
telling u that your fridge is not cold enough, there is also probably another prob but u need to b a electrician to sort it on the top of fridge there is a panel,.. under that there is a fusible link if one blows it will need to b replaced its soldered in no job for u unless ur a electrician hope this helps

Defrost cycle has problems. Could be defrost timer, heat element, or defrost stat. temporary solution, if you can see ice accumulated inside the fridge on the back wall, desconnect or turn it off, until this ice it's gone, can be use for couple days, until service could be done on it.
