We bought an LG RH2T160 in Australia - what is the code to unlock all regions?

scroll - down - to the LOCK icon
press SEVEN ZERO's - message appears
press ENTER.
also used after message; 'unknown disc; please check disc again'..
my indonesia built area 4 marked lg rh2t160 would
play most area 1 dvds, but not all, from new..
7 X 0 hack using remote = plays all discs..
Interestingly my player required 8 zeros
Same hack for LG RH277H - BUT BE CAREFULL
Access menu by pressing Clear on RC and Arrown (Program Down) key on RHS of actual Unit. Navigate to OP6 USE ONLY THE right and left arrows to navigate (the Up and down chnage values and you could accidently change the Value of another area). Change OP6 to read 8f - using up and down arrows. Press Menu/List to save and enter to exit.... The Unit then starts up again and goes throught the initial channel set up (as it did when you first purchased it and switched on the first time).
Had a simlar problem. It would not play DVD video or recognise any type of disk. Its been back to LG twice. Seems to be fixed now. It runs very hot.

It won't play bought or rental DVD's noproblem with back up dvd nor cds and no other problems with it. Had the machine for >6months and no problem until last week.
I have the same problem the dvd player lg rh2t160 will not play rented or recorded dvd's and it has just started happening and the unit is only 6 months old
Re LG RH2T160 DVDs and other discs (Jpeg & MP3s) not playing - includes original movies & own movies - have commenced to have same problem. Tried freeing up zones, etc but not fixed. Did work at first, but recently started playing up.
Could it be a lemon of a model so released at lower prices at Harvey Norman?
Should I just start squirting lemon juice on a salesman's eyes?

Similar problem. Stopped recognising DVDs, Jpeg, and some MP3 discs. Plays neither legitimate DVD movies nor home movie DVDs. Plays pre-recorded music CDs. Tried unlocking zones to no avail.
Is it likely the model is a lemon?

If anyone knows the code that will unlock all regions on the LG RH2T160 that would be great. I have phoned LG today & they suggested to do an internet search for it. I dont know quite where to look. I intent to ring where I bought it tomorrow as when I asked for one to buy I told the sales person that I wanted a multi region DVD player with a hard drive & this is what he sold to me teling me it did all I wanted. I am nor happy & he will know all about it.

I have just found this answer & wow it really works, I have just done it. I hope those of you who need it that it works for you also Karen
if you want to unlock your LG DVD drive to be region free
just go the the SETUP menu (Hit HOME on remote) and click down to the lock symbol
Then enter 0000000 ( thats seven zeros)
Then hit ENTER
Then select YES and hit the ENTER key
A dialog box then appears congratulating you on being region free (really !)
Then CLOSE on remote
All done
This will work for DR4922W, DR6921W, RC6821W, DR7922,RH7521,RH7823, RH7796, RC7723, New Home Theatres,RH2T250, RH2T160 and RH2T80
With RH4810 , RH4820W and RH4940W you open the tray door, push the 0 button on the remote seven times, choose region code 0 then push the pause button
Apparently the LH CX247 and LH CX460 need a code free disc ( I assume this is a special LG supplied disc)
Tried the 0000000 option. Came up with the region free prompt, so entered correctly, but still doesn't play most discs.
dvd not working
Ihave tried the unlocking process and the player still does not work. This machine is rubbish in mho
came from overseas, want to change lg dvx9943 to u.s. region code
I bought this LG player in Australia and have been told it is region free but wasn't told how to unlock it (in Australia). I'm trying to find the code to unlock the DVD portion of this player so it is region free
