How doi adjust convegence manually on phillips 55pp9401

It will not work if the convergence circuit is not functional--it is indicated here it is phillips 55pp9401?

Your convergence has failed and needs to be repaired. Once quick test is to goto your convergence menu and see if you can adjust red and blue. If not its has failed and needs to be fixed. You can call in a repair shop or you can get the parts and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com and do the repair yourself. Its a fairly easy DIY fix.

Here's what Philips FAQ says about your convergence procedure:
Question How do I adjust convergence (align colors)? Answer Note: For best results, the Projection TV needs to be turned on for 15 minutes or longer before adjusting the picture tubes (convergence).

Press the INTELLISENSE button on the remote (under the flap). During the convergence process DO NOT press the INTELLISENSE button again and DO NOT move the Projection TV.

So, I think you're going to need to order a replacement remote.

Chances are the new ICs have failed since the 6.8 ohm resistors werent changed a phillips will almost always blow one or two of the 6.8 ohm resistors and if new ICs are installed without replaceing the resistors the new ICs are usually destroyed by the blown resistors. You will need the original remote or authorized replacement to adjust the convergence properly.

Replacing the convergence board will require a complete convergence adjustment. A better solution would be the replacing of the defective convergence IC. This would retain the convergence settings for the set. I'll locate the part numbers and costs and update this later.

convergence problems occur alot in these sets. First question you always ask is the picture bowed in at top and bottom. or even on sides. go into customer menu and go to setup. do you have convegence option. if you do not go read fl231 problem in tips and tricks. this could be simple and inexpensive. However it can also be one of three cuicit boards. Next quesiton if you got convegence option does the autoconvergence work. if not how far does it get. then if that doesnt work does manual convergence of blue and red work do the cross hair move at all. if the do or only move one way. it might be convegence amp if not then might be convergence power board.

get a full universal at your local walmart for less then 20 with full menu and program functions, get a phillips brand and no programming required.

try aligning them using the yoke control rings.
sometimes the alignment is so far out that you have to adjust the magnet rings instead.

Replace convergence IC's STK392-110 mounted on large heatsinks....I use upgrade STK394-160E = CZ 01341 Hitachi #.

Check for dis-colored resistor (s) = replace with exact value...
