Pixelated picture I just bought my jensen uv8. Did the bypass code and everything works fine, except for playing dvds. The picture is pixelated and skips a little bit. It's not the dvd either because that plays fine on my laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks, Alicia

if it has a brake wire in the back of it ground that wire to the radio ground or any where that is a ground

It is set up so that you can't you have to do some things with the wiring I believe to get around it. It is technically illegal to do that. If you have any other questions or need further assistance let me know.

Ok what you gotta do is connect the pink e-brake wire with the black wire that is already connected to the radio as the grounding.

If have factory amp you have to find the turn ou wre for the amp and hook it up to the amp turn on wire from the radio(bootleg way sound might cut in & out) or go to local sound shop and get a bypass for the amp

I suggest you disassemble the radio and take it out that way. While your in you can check on the blockage. Shouldn' t be hard. Good luck.

no the code should work . unless jensen put a stop to the code in the newer modles.

I've never had a problem playing videos on my unit, mpgs,mpeg,divx. Try ramvideos.com to download videos and burn using your burning software.

turn on the player, start the radio option, go into the setup menu, tap the language tab, ON THE REMOTE press "stop, stop, 5,4,3,2,1" This will bring up the secret menu, you do not need to connect the pink wire

I have same problem with same uv8 but i use remote to activate am/fm then hit setup on rem.enter 543210 and a new menu came up. ( listening for the beep after each 3 is pressed ) select the hammer in upper left hand corner of screen, select brake bypass to on, then hot the X near bottom os screen. this works for me it should work for you.
