I never had a problem charging the nwz-b135 mp3 player up before but for some reason it is no longer recognizing or charging up the mp3 player when i connect it to the computer

Please try following troubleshooting to determine the issue and resolve it:
(i) Try connecting to different functional USB ports on a Computer.
(ii) Try connecting to different fucntional USB ports of different Computers.
(iii) You may also try pressing and holding the Reset button for 30 seconds. You can locate the Reset button near the strap hole.

If the issue persists even after performing all the above steps then service will be required.

if you have the initial executing files that were on your mp3 when you bye,

Format your Mp3 on PC by FAT32 format and copy those on your Mp3 player folder

NWZ-B135 stuck on 'Walkman' logo, but won't go to play mode.

U need to upgrade the firmware,you need to download the firmware from here: http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/downloads/firmware/firmware.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&m=NWZ-B135&f=FRM_NWZ_B13x_f after downloading,run it and then connect the player to system while holding the "volume -" button...it should be detected and the firmware would be restored.

hi, you may have to install a driver for windows to properly recognize the walkman.
did u purchase a (mini)cd with drivers fittng your windows verson with it?

install, reboot, replug , browse via WIN explorer, add mp3's, unplug , enjoy.

drivers on ur pc r outdated .... update them from net they r present free of cost . search on google abt how to update drivers..
