My LCD started acting up after about 1 1/2 years...now it does not power up at all...just clicks. I actually bought a new/refurbished power board and replaced it but still same problem. I also found a pcb switch board (for the power button) on ebay...replaced that...still same problem. I had a friend (electronics guru) take a look at the original power board...he said that it looks fine...didn't see any real problems...even though I told him that the relay on that power board is definitely making the clicking sound. Not sure what to do now except buy a new TV.
With any luck you will have the same problem asa the rest of us : blown power board capaciters , remove the rear cover {20 screws} look in the middle of the back of the set with the cover {5 screws} removed from the power supply . Now look to the upper right cornerof the board in the middle of the tv there may be 1 or several capaciters leaking from the X shape on the top , this be be your problem match up replacements but source units that have a higher max voltage than 10volts 7 get them soldered into the board . I repaired mine that failed at 16 months for $4 in parts & it took longer to remove the screws than it did to affect the repair. If you are not conifident about soldering on your $2000 tv then take the board to someone for the job to be done , I would not advise this as a first soldering job , good luck I can't belive how common this is Samsung needs to step up ......
As you will probably know , when the TV is clicking , that means that the protection circuit is on because a fault ad been detected.
If you already replaced the PSU and the control buttons, then grab a service manual and follow troubleshooting diagrams to test digital controller board (main board) and inverter board.
The manual can be ordered from Partstore or Vance Baldwin.

follow that link,, you will save over $400.. so easy to do... i can take it to a computer guy and he will do it for $20 $25..
Are any of you in the area because we have the same problem with the power button just flashing red but it won't power on. I live in the DC area and would pay for someone to fix it cheaper than a tv repair guy....

I had the main board looked at by a tech repair...he said it does not seem to have any problems...and the fact that I tested another main board in the TV with same problem shows that maybe the issue is with the inverter board...I haven't removed/tested that one yet...it is probably at the top (back) of the TV and much smaller than the main board, right?
sorry, not in the DC area...and I still have yet to determine the actual problem...I've tested/tried different ideas...nothing yet...I'm actually in the middle of working on replacing the LCD inverters (left and right)...I found them on ebay...I have to fix one of the connectors and then I'm going to replace them in the TV...while keeping my fingers crossed.
Some time back I got a 46" Samsung with the same problem. The main board was defective in this case. 5V line was showing short with the ground. Many a time power board is also found to cause this problem. Good luck to you.
