Hi, i have an older set of uniden radios that i no longer have the manual for. one of them is stuck on a setting where i can transmit, but can't receive. anybody know how to change this? i'm not sure how old they are, or what model they are. i tried looking up the manual online, but could only find manuals for the new ones.

If i've ever had this prob its because one radio is on "duplex" mode and other is on "simplex", if you know what i'm talking about this info is prob useless, but on most hand held radios there's a button that says d/s, dup/sim or just dup or sim, press or hold to change from simplex to duplex , probably see it on display, but anyway have em both set on same setting either simplex or duplex

How do I link uniden pmr845-2ck together

There is no "linking" of these radios. they simply have the ability to have silent receivers until a digital or subaudible tone is received that turns the audio on allowing you to hear the transmitted signal, this allows you to set the radio to only hear the correct transmitted signal...

UNIDEN TWO WAY RADIOS.ONE TRANSMITS AND RECEIVES THE OTHER DOES NOT.ANY IDEAS OR SUGESTIONS?

Check Batteries swop the batteries around with each set.
Check antennas swop them about.
The set not receiving if possible check for a loose wire inside the set from the antenna connector.
Finally the set you say is not working press the PTT ( Tx button) with both handsets close to each other inches apart . How does the good set react?

My uniden UH3O5sx is always stuck on receive (rx is always showing) can receive but not transmit

Set up your privacy tones or adjust the squelch level to stop the static and bring the handy out of receive mode. Some models have a busy channel lock out, that if it beleives it hears something it will not let you transmit over the other station.

My uniden hand held radios are transmitting but not receiving why???

Possible programming problem. Your receive frequency may not be set the same as your transmit frequency, or your PL code may be set differently between the radios. Check your programming.

Best regards.

On my uniden pro 510e I can transmit but I cant receive all I get back is static got any clues?

Hi,

Which radio are you referring to, the Pro 510e or the Pro 510xl?

In any event, to transmit and receive clearly depends on your antenna, it's location and it's surroundings and HEIGHT.

Radio waves on these radios depend mainly on line of sight and propagation factors, If you have an indoor antenna, that could be the problem, if it's an outdoor fixture, it needs to be in such a position so that the coax cable isn't being interfered with by another electrical fixture, the Height of the antenna, is most important, the higher, the better, taking in all these factors and a bit of try this and see approach should find a solution to your reception/transmition issues. That's part of the fun of setting up a base radio, experimentation, configuration and the results you want will be worth the effort.

I hope this has been helpful for you.

Cheers, Peter

Uniden Oceanus not transmitting

You may have a sub-channel/privacy channel activated. Unless the person/s you are trying to talk to have the same channel and code set they will not be able to hear you. Check your manual for specific instructions on how to reset it to the default.
