In my earlier post I didn't realize that there's a workaround - If I turn on the home theater receiver and the TV, the image starts ghosting and streaking, but if you simply shut off the tv and turn it back on after less than a minute, the image is usually OK and stays that way most of the time. If it doesn't get any worse and all I have to do is turn it off and on again I can live with it. But I'm thinking it will get worse in which case I would like to repair it if not too expensive. Does the fact that it works OK after you turn it back on give a good clue to what's wrong? I have the back off the TV so I can see all the circuit boards.

Hello,
The problem you are having is caused by the fuser. The fuser is the part in the printer that heats up and basically melts ( fuses) the toner to the page. The fuser has a heat roller that is coated with teflon, your fuser coating has worn off in spots so the toner is sticking to the roller and causing the ghost image. You will need to order a replacement fuser. You can do a search on Google to find a replacement, the parts number is RM1-1082.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Not familiar with this particular model of samsung LED TV, but ghosting and shadowing are usually an accepted manufacturer's defect.
If you're still under warranty or within 30 days of purchase, contact the company that sold you the TV or Samsung warranty department.
If you're out of warranty and you don't wish to deal with this, contact a TV repair shop. They will most likely tell you that it's not worth repairing and recommend you purchase a new TV.
