Unknown where you live, but there is a web site for TV Licences in South Africa called SABC. Perhaps that is who you should contact.

FIXYA doesn't handle South African TV licenses, or South African universities or South African financial aid, or Social Services but many South Africans post questions here by accident, so that is why I can only assume you are in South Africa. Please correct me if I am wrong, thank you.

Regards.

SOURCE: I am 72 years of age and living in South Africa and I want to take advantage of the annual SABC pensioners discount fee at present in my wifes name - not a pensioner so what must I do ?

Hello, Michael -

Regarding a South African TV license for people 70 years old or greater, apparently they are referred to as a "concessionary domestic licence." See information here:
http://youve-earned-it.co.za/site/sabc-tv-licence/

You can find the SABC telephone number to call for more information here:
http://www.tvlic.co.za/tvlic/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&layout=item&id=30&Itemid=712&lang=en

By the way, Fixya.com is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING THINGS. :)

Best wishes.

You will have to ask the PO how to pay your annual licence fee.
