I can sometimes get the cooler to turn on by pressing the "set" button. When it turns on it runs until it achieves the desired temperature. Then it turns off automatically. But it never will turn on automatically. Hence, the only way to run the compressor is to turn it on manually.
Same problem. I just replaced the sensor but the temp just keeps dropping . Its sitting at 28 degrees now !
I've looked for a thermostat but cannot find one .
For parts try this....

The temperature sensor should fix the problem. It usually a inexpensive part. Its wire runs from the display board on the top, to where the sensor sits behind the unit (obviously in the cabinet)
I'm going to say replace the circuit board

Usually answered in minutes!
I have it set at 55F, but it sits at 66F. If I unplug it and replug it in, the compressor turns on and the temperature begins to drop. Over the next ten minutes it drops steadily to about 52F (i.e. below the set point) and then appears to shut off, and after that it gradually heats back up to 66 or so.
So the compressor seems to be working, but it will not cool to the desired temp.
If I knew what part to replace I would gladly try to replace it myself...but I do not want to mess with the compressors!
Do you think this is a thermostat? Is that the same as the temperature sensor?
Thanks for any advice/
