Make sure the yellow permanent power wire is connected to a constant 12 volt source otherwise it will reset every time the unit is turned off. If the permanent power yellow is connected, there is a hardware fault in your head unit and will either need to be repaired or replaced. Also ensure the chassis of your head unit has a solid ground and the black negative wire is securely grounded. If you are able to tune it while it's turned on it means the control panel is functioning properly (sometimes the control panel contacts get dirty and prevent the unit controls from working properly)

SOURCE: TV suddenly doesn't respond to Sony remote & power button on Satellite remote.

I am having the same problem with the "initial setup" screen flashing repeatedly/ intermittently. It's not a problem with the remote. In the research I have done online, it seems as though this is a common/known problem with the Wegas that will require a service visit. Apparently the problem is a defective receiver chip. The best thread I found is at: http://www.agoraquest.com/viewtopic.php?topic=15393&forum=34&start=0&select_page_number=1 I've seen some speculation that it is caused by windex or cleaning fluid dripping down when the screen is cleaned and corroding one of the internal components. That's not applicable in my case, since I always just clean the screen with a microfiber dusting cloth. So, I guess I will be calling a repairman and spending $$$ to fix as it is now flashing up so often as to be unwatchable. Ridiculous, I think, given that my TV is only 3 years old!!

SOURCE: Does not respond to remote control

I have had the T743 for about three years now. The first unit which I got from the local shop was doing exactily like your described after couple of minutes use. Well, I took is back and got a new one covered by the warranty.

Unfortunately I never got any explanation to this problem from my local shop or anywhere else, so I guess the only way is to contact your local shop.

SOURCE: How do I tune TV channels on my Sharp CX48G4 TV without a remote control? There is no tuning / settings panel on the TV itself which is very strange.

press the preset button on the front panel once then (TV should be on) the on the screen there should be words the likes of (Auto VHF 1 60.00mhz) now the Auto stands for auto tuning VHF stands for its frequency where its going to search the 1 stands for the channel where its going to start with 60.00mghz stands for the lowest signal to which its going to start now that you have understood all that just press the volume up button then it will automaticly locate all your working channels leave till it stops for when does it will start from channel 1 to which I believe that you be able to see the channel working so press the up button on the channel button to check the rest of your channels hope this will solve your problem!

Tuner Won't Acknowledge Sound

Before turning the unit on, press the calib/batt button to check the battery condition.
The Fender AG6 only responds when the strings pitch is within a certain frequency range. If the guitars tuning is not within that range or if your installing new strings, first connect the guitar to the AG6 with a cord that you know to be in good working condition and turn the AG6 on. Then starting with the low E string (the thickest one), loosen the tuning peg to a point well below the standard tuning for that string. Then slowly tighten the peg as you strike the string repeatedly. When the strings frequency, comes within range you will see the 6E light glow and the needle will begin to deflect. When the needle reaches zero it is in tune. Do the remainder of the strings the same way then go back and recheck each a second time. If you have a tuning fork, you can use it to tune by ear then re-tune and maintain it with the AG6
Remember to always stretch then re-tune new strings several times.
If the AG6 does not respond even after checking the condition of the battery and the cord that connects the guitar to the tuner, the problem could be inside the AG6 with a bad connection on the board. Try moving the cord as you strike a string that you know is close to being in tune. Again a tuning fork would be helpful.

No tp for sony cdx-c5000r

hi shawn, try deselecting the TA feature of your unit and then try tuning for stations. before doing this i assume your antenna is in good working condition. if this does not solve your problem, then "reset" the unit and retry tuning for radio stations. reset switch will be found on main unit behind the face. cheers.

Sony CDX-SW200 AM/FM/CD unit

I'm not completely certain about yours, but on most Sony decks you can get to a manual tuning mode by pressing and holding the seek buttons. In other words, if you press and release the tuning button, it will automatically jump to the next channel. If you press and hold the button for a second, it should beep and possibly start flashing an "M" on the screen. After that, it should stop scanning when you release the button, without jumping to the next station.
