2006 golf starts but soon rpm drops then stalls. will start again but soon stalls

I had a 78 rabbit did the same thing. It was the fuel pump relay. The connector was under size and burnt up. When you star the car on the old Rabbit the pump runs off the ignition switch. Once it starts the relay needs a pulse from the distributor to let it know that the car is running and keep the pump running after it starts. If not the relay times out and pump stops pumping gas. Its for safety so if in a accident and the engine stops the pump wont pour out gas

Gas gauge stopped working 1999 vw beetle

1. Sender unit or bad ground wire

2. Just give your self (x gallons in a full tank / y miles per gallon = z at how many miles to fill it to the top again) I did this for years with an 81' rabbit.

2007 Volkswagen Rabbit. Car won't start (makes some noise, but engine won't turn over). Battery light comes on first, followed by EPC and Malfunction Indicator Lamp.

If the battery is the original battery then it's 6 years old. Try and put a charge on it for a couple of hours and if it doesn't crank the engine then I'd pull the battery and take it to an auto parts store. Have them load test it. It's probably bad.

I have been using 0-40 oil in my 07 VW Rabbit. I have over 150k miles and think that i should be using a heavier oil. Any suggestions?

I would use whatever the manufacture suggest. Most cars will have the suggested oil use on the oil cap under your car hood. The best thing you can do is change your oil on time and use what is suggested by the people that make the engine. As far as what brand of oil to use, my option is to use any oil that does not have "high mileage" or crazy Teflon additives. Most of these additives (like the Teflon particles) are not small enough to pass across the oil filter and never end up in the engine.

Something that I have been using in all my vehicles (including a 2001 GMC Jimmy with 180K) Is Marvel Mystery Oil. I use it in all my cars and anything with a motor. Its a Oil additive that is a detergent. It will help clean out any deposits or old oil in your engine. It can also be added to your fuel as well.
That's my 2 cents :)
