Hi! I recently was gifted a LCD TV LC32DA5U. when press powered it turns on, solid green light. doesnt worktried to add more, but it limited my characters No picture, no menu on screen, no buttons..

its the same sort of problem as the 3rrod, the mainboard overheats and as a result the lead free solde rcracks and these type of faults occur. we can rectify this type of problem for you np. the xbox 360 needs a few things doing to it to get it working again:
1: clean the cpu and gpu
2: add some new heatsink paste to them pref arctic silver 5
3: replace the x-clamps
4: reflow the entire board
5: add heat conducting pads to the memory chips

This is a common fault on this model and is down to the main board.
Part number: HH-LCD.PCB.YD-106 Unfortunetly a replacement is one thing i have never been able to get hold of, so i just stripped the sets andf sold them for spares.

U might get the tv working again,by unpluging it,replug an hour later let the tv reset it self.Not,Than the Tuner board,it the board u should looking into replacing.Not the power supply board is good,because u getting a solid power LED indicator light.

The first troubleshooting step would be to measure all the voltages from the power supply to the other circuits boards specially the 5 volts going to the main board. If you have the following: Insignia 6HA0112010 Power Supply, check FU502 for open conditions.
If all the voltages appear normal, then the main board should be replace since is hard to find individual components for a component level repair.

Thanks for using FixYa. Hope you already know that this cannot be corrected through the MENU options. To resolve this issue you'll have to open the back of the unit and check the inverter board which is the power supply source for the backlights. The issue can be a bad inverter board and/or the inverter board is not getting 20vdc from the power supply maybe due to the connector that has gone bad/loose.All this is only recommended to be done by someone who has electrical expertise and knows about the internal circuitry of the unit. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
