It is problem of light engine (optics block assembly) in TV and complete light engine will be replaced. It is costly part, check with local TV repair shop for cheap fix if they can.

Hi, This blue dot and hue problem is due to bad lcd in your tv as its Sony dlp tv that has optics block, that is also called light engine, it consists of 3 lcds, filters and lamp to produce an image that projects on front screen. In this tv, blue lcd became defective and complete light engine will be replaced to get it fixed. As other expert talking about blue CRT (cathode ray tube) that does not exist in this tv and my fellow expert has no idea about this kind of tv, sorry for that. if you see blue pixel type groups of squares or dots you may have a burnt light engine and this is common in many LCD rear projection sets; a blue screen may mean the engine became burnt--LCD rear projection sets of this kind have an optical enginge--with red,green,blue prizims--sometimes they get burned by the lamp---a photo would tell me or most techs what the problem is---the cost of a replacement engine is very expensive--some models with this problem are covered by Sony even if the set is no longer in warrant
sounds like you need a new light engine. Sony can probably get you one at no cost if make enough noise, they are aware of problems with their light engines. good luck
MY FRIEND I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM . BY DOING RESERCH I FOUND OUT THAT SONY WILL FIX THIS FOR FREE. I JUST CALL THEM UP AND TOLD THEM WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS THEY FOUND THERE NEAREST REPAIR PEOPLE TO ME AND CAME RIGHT TO MY HOUSE. GIVE IT A SHOT.
If you have the remote, go to the setup screen and move the picture. Converge has nothing to do with where the picture sits but, where the red, blue & green dots land. All you should see are pure white dots. There should be absolutely NO color ghost anywhere on the screen. If so, you need a bar / dot generator to set the convergence to center the dots.
