Go to the mfr.'s website; I'm fairly sure you can download a copy of the lost CD to your system and burn a new one locally.
You can download the manual here:
iRiver manual
connect Iriver back to PC...go to my computer open Iriver and copy the software only (hidden files too) you do have your files on the pc and or the cd's.....because you are about to format the Iriver (this will erase everything) open a temp folder to hold software on PC.......copy/paste software to .......now go back to my computer right click to format the Iriver . once format is complete copy/paste the software back from PC to Iriver...now copy/paste all your mp3 files from PC/cds to Iriver.......its like new all over again
the iRiver 700 Series Players use a software package called iRiver Music Manager for loading music.
The software package can be downloaded from iRiver at this link: http://iriverinc.com/support/ultra/700.aspx
You can also find firmware upgrade software there.
Somehow the driver went missing. Click on "My Computer" and then click "view system information," then "hardware," then "device manager," then click on iRiver (it'll be there even without the driver) and then it will give you a yes/no option to look for driver software. Obviously, click "yes" but notice that you are also cued to put in a CD "if you have one." I still had the CD. It will search both the CD and online for a driver, but the computer found the driver software on the CD. Make sure you only put the CD in when cued to do so. If you don't have the CD, then contact iRiver about getting a driver download or having them send you a copy of the CD.
